I am of the belief, that Amazon was created to make all business use it's platform removing the need for bricks and mortar shops. This woukd also include food shopping.
Once this was achieved they could

Your post was why I shared the Kiplinger report about renting being cheaper than owning. Others have reported on the push to buy up all single family homes and turn them into rentals and it follows the same playbook: control the food, control the shopping, control the buying... It gives the controllers the ability to manipulate prices and access and to reward those who comply and freeze out those who do not.
