Minimum wage was $ 1.60 per hour when KFC had those prices in 1972. You would have to work two and a half hours to purchase that back then.

Today you would need to make $12 an hour at two and a half hours to pay for that same 10-piece family bucket for a cost of $30
Basically it's relative to the wages of today so it wasn't really that cheap back then.

Ahhh, good ole Redding. Use to be a good little town. Had friends there, spent many summers visiting, heading to Lake Shasta skiing, house boating and fishing. Those were the good old days.

Well at least working in the union you probably got benefits on top of that wage?
