WASHINGTON — The House passed a bill Thursday that would require proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections in an effort to codify one of President Donald Trump's executive actions from his second term.
Lawmakers approved the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act in a 220-208 vote, with four Democrats — Reps. Ed Case of Hawaii; Henry Cuellar of Texas; Jared Golden of Maine; and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington state — joining every Republican present in support of the measure.

When I transferred my NC license to Florida for my job, I had to provide my old drivers license, a lease or mortgage, my birth certificate, my marriage license, and my husbands death certificate. While I was doing all this, I saw several people (foreigners) who did NOT speak English, walk up to the counter, got their pictures taken and then handed their drivers license. I told the lady taking care of me, that is bullshit. I was born here and have to prove who I am? WTF is up with those people just being handed a damn license? She said that they are just doing what they're told. I then sent an email to Desanctimonius and of course, didn't get a response. I'm fixing to call the hotline HHS number and have them check out all the DMVs in Florida and elsewhere. This has been going on for awhile. 😡😡😡

Very unfair and dangerous. There has been an increase in traffic accidents in Colorado, especially in winter. Most illegals are unfamiliar with winter driving and are unable to read signs or maneuver the right of ways on interstate roads. Illegals are fast tracked to get CDL licenses too and semi accidents are on the rise as well. Not to mentioned mountain driving on curvy roads and steep downhills. 🙄 But that is apparently OK as long as the drivers license can be used to vote. 😡

Oh yea, they get asked if they ever drove a semi in their country and if they say yes, they're given a CDL. I worked my butt of for mine and they're just handed one. Believe me, they DON'T know how to drive one. I see them daily. But I did see a Tik Tok video of a trucker in Arkansas who said he was pulled into a chicken house (weigh station) and the DOT guy asked him if he could speak English. He said of course. Then handed him this sheet and told him to read it, so he was reading it in silence and the guy said out loud. So he did. Then he asked him to write down what he was going to tell him. After he did all that, he asked what is up with this. He said, if you can't speak English, immediate $5000 fine. If you can't pay it right there, you go to jail. Can't read or write English, $10000 fine and can't pay, go immediately to jail and truck is confiscated. THAT needs to happen all over.

Absolutely, I read a statement from an experienced CDL cross country driver who reported so many instances of the unsafe CDL drivers out there. These licenses need to be pulled immediately by the transportation department for public safety!
