There is no reason to pay off fraudulent debt to a criminal corporation. More than that, their assets should be confiscated to pay restitution to their victims.

The yield is low because the Fed is buying the debt. Inflation makes the Fed stronger. Low interest rates make more inflation. They are also printing money to buy the stock market, to prop it up and to own all of it.

Nothing Trump is presently doing is hurting the banks. He may be strategically moving pieces around to set up a take down. But he isn't taking them down now.
