Why do they need to move all that money? More importantly, why do they need to traffic all these people or move them all about?

Yes, a question that must be answered.
Several hypotheses:
Lib-Dem candidates probably wouldn't be elected without a lot of money spent for advertisements and for bribes and for computer manipulation of actual votes,
Some need a lot of money for the continuation of their drug addictions, the most expensive being adrenochrome.
Others need money to pay for other habits they have, indeed, some furnished by human traffickers.
Still others have obsessions about owning a lot of properties, cars, jewelry, antiques, paintings.
For example, "NO NAME" owned 7 houses, indicating that politicians from both major parties need a lot of money.
