That sounds nice, but I wonder if they are able to exit the program after they have stable time. The reason this would be important is that it would be difficult in the US to convince people to sign up for a lifetime of benefits in exchange for this is the level you get to be at now and forever. That is when people turn to off the books and shadier side gigs because most people do not want to live with that level of socialism. It sounds ideal for a 3-5 year arrangement at best.
