The Framers knew this and recognized that the only way a the proposed constitutionally abiding government could fail would require corruption or compromise of all three branches of government and a usurping of the media upon the People. As men who still had the personal code of honor to live by, that seemed unfathomable and the checks and balances would prevail over any corrupt or power seeking minority.
