I will admit I do not drink enough water myself. Did you know that heart attack and water go hand in hand. How many people do you know that say: I don't want to drink water before I go to bed, because I'm going to have to get up at night...?
I didn't know this! I asked my doctor why people piss a lot at night. The Doctor answered me, that a heart gravity holds water at the bottom of the body and when it is in the vertical position the legs swell. When you lie down, the lower body (legs, etc. ) are up to the kidneys, and that's when the kidneys eliminate water because it's easier. I knew it takes minimum water to help eliminate toxins from the body. What I didn't know is, that drinking water at one point maximizes its effectiveness in the body, and the right time to drink it is:

Most people also do not know that an adequate intake of water to stay well hydrated is one ounce per kilogram of body weight, if a person has good kidney function. Take weight and divide your weight by 2.2 to determine daily water intake. Drink only filtered alkaline water for the best absorption and health benefits. Add lemon to water to make water alkaline, or a pinch of baking soda per 8 ounce glass. 😇

I can also add this: my doctor told me that sleeping time water will also help prevent leg cramps.
Leg muscles are looking for hydration and hence the cramps awaken you.
A cardiologist said to share this with your loved ones, several lives can and will be saved.
