Yes, they did for mine somehow, as they wiped the old one and all the data. Not sure how I got in, but some people already have addresses and phone numbers already used for an account and do not have another, this is a problem for many to get back in or create a new account, that I have found. One could get a throw away phone though perhaps, but they do these security checks to email and phone, so keep that in mind too! I keep having security checks put on me, regularly! And FB doing the same for me. But in order to help fight, both those social medias are where the most are at. Besides Telegram.

@KrisWilliams that stuff is easily over written. You can easily grab a new number (either by downloading an app or requesting one) but there's other options to confirm your identity (such as email)
