most of what is sold in stores as “cinnamon” is cheap Cassia cinnamon and is not genuine “cinnamon.” Ceylon cinnamon is “real” cinnamon. It more expensive and it has health benefits, the fake can be harmful. Costco sells the fake cinnamon from Vietnam.

Also Ceylon is the only safe cinnamon for dogs.

That is probably true for humans too, Cassia is known to cause liver damage. Just another example of deception in our food industry.
