"A school in England introduced a bold experiment, a 21-day total phone ban for its students
The aim was to explore how life without smartphones would affect their daily routines, social interactions, and well-being.
As time passed, the benefits began to shine. Students became more active, engaging in outdoor games and spending quality time with family. Many reported better sleep, reduced anxiety, and improved focus.
Teachers also noticed significant changes. Students made better eye contact, seemed more prepared to learn, and were noticeably more engaged in lessons.

Well...duh! Kids with distractions cannot learn or concentrate when they are distracted by anything, and especially the addictiveness of devices. Families would do well to put aside devices at the dinner table, at meals eaten out at restaurants, attending events together, playing in a park etc. No elementary child IMO should even have a phone. Babies are even given phone images to entertain them and keep them quiet. How about replacing that device with a toy or playing a game, holding them, rocking them etc. Imaginations grow and brains flourish when there is time for kids to use their brains and imaginations. π

They started to ban mobiles in some schools here in Finland last year and now government made it a law starting next August in all schools. And that's a big decision in Nokia country.. π
