Happy Winter Solstice to you! Today marks a special moment - the official start of astronomical winter, happening precisely at 4:21 a.m. EST!

Right now, gatherers are assembling at Stonehenge to mark this astronomical milestone. In the American Southwest, the Hopi Indians are celebrating Soyal with traditional purification ceremonies and dancing, while in Peru, communities are honoring the return of the sun god.

It's quite poetic that this marks both the shortest day and longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. From here on out, each day will gradually grow longer as we move toward spring. It's a perfect time for reflection, celebration, and looking forward to the returning light.

Whether you're planning to celebrate with mulled cider, light some candles, or simply take a moment to appreciate this natural turning point in our yearly cycle, I hope your solstice is meaningful and bright! 🌟
