I lived near a paper mill on the Sacramento Delta ( California) when the wind was just right it smelled like a mixture of vomit and poop! It was terrible! I moved before any of us got sick

It's not surprising with all the crap they spray into the sky. This reminded me of a time a few years back when we got a significant amount of snow where I live (central illinois). We noticed the snow looked strange and if you picked it up, it wouldn't melt in the warmth of my hand. We took a lighter and tried to melt it, but it wouldn't melt at all. It was really weird.
