Hmmm, everything but GOES will be down till 2025 due to a water leak at Stanford 🧐 No failover plan? If on Amazon cloud, this seems impossible that there is no redundancy; new instances of virtual servers can be spun up. Backup restoration is a snapshot of the last image taken of the database(s), so what, a week stale? If there was a built-in failover it would be minutes.

Anybody know what this is really about? I also have a hard time believing they should already be predicting at least one month of a complete down outage for major systems which were due to a water leak… a more believable story would be to cover their bases and just string us along for awhile before announcing this as an extended event.
