QUESTION ABOUT VOTING EXPERIENCE:

Has anyone received confirmation of how the ballot scanning machine recorded your vote?
At my polling station you insert your ballot into the scanner, end of story, no receipt no screen showing how your votes were counted. Should there be some sort of confirmation how your ballot was counted besides it entering a machine never to be seen again?

During the primaries I asked the poll worker how we know for sure if it counted our ballot the way we voted. She had no answer or any idea.

My polling official just told me 'Okay your vote has been counted.'
I have no way of knowing how my ballot was counted.

The average person doesn't even consider the possibility that votes may not be counted or counted as they were cast. Remember the fractionalized counting?

Heard one possible solution in the future is a paper ballot that has a serial number with matching receipt. After you vote you can go online and check your serial number to see how your ballot was accounted for in the election. Definitely, to clean up our voting process.
