๐Ÿ™Prayer Request
This morning my mom is attending two oncology appointments to hear possible treatment plans since her lumpectomy for breast "cancer". The pathology report showed that all of "it" was removed. However, her surgeon recommends she take a pill and have radiation to "prevent" it from returning. My prayer is that she opts for no further treatments and focuses on living her life "cancer" free. I have made my position very clear to her. She keeps telling me "I want to hear what they have to say." I prefer she did not make these appointments at all. Please pray she declines any further "cancer treatments." Thank you and love you all! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•

It is surely sad to have information that other people donโ€™t believe because of the lifelong conditioning weโ€™ve all been subjected to. Prayers for peace as you navigate through this together.

Thank you, Ana. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•

She hasn't made a final decision but praise Jesus she is leaning towards not doing any further treatments. One doctor admitted without any further treatments the chance of her cancer returning is only 20-25%. Meaning she has a 75 to 80% chance of being perfectly fine without hormone pills and radiation.

They want her to do 20 radiation treatments over 4 weeks, take a daily hormone pill for 5 years, bone density tests every 2 years and routine appointments with oncology specialists. All with risks of multiple negative side effects. NO THANK YOU.

Hi Royal. I was in your position a few years back. My Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, had surgery to remove it (they also got all of it). I also voiced my opinion of taking any form of Chemo and bought her some Eissac Tea that she drank. She ultimately chose to take a low dose chemo pill called Anastrozole. She took it for 3 years, no side effects and she no longer has any tumor markers. Even tho that's not a choice I would make for myself, I supported my Mom in her decision making. I didn't have to like it, but I respected it. I will most definitely pray for your Mom and you as well! God Bless you both! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Thank you, Patriot Mel. She is leaning towards no further treatment since one doctor admitted she has a 75% to 80% of being fine. However, they recommend daily hormone therapy pill for 5 years and 20 radiation treatments all with side effects. I am praying she makes a firm decision she will just focus on living her life without any further oncology appointments. Worst case scenario, if she has any issues she will contact them. ๐Ÿ™

I lost my wife 2 years ago from cancer. Just be there for your mom whatever decision she makes. As you know, stress can affect any and all outcomes. She's going to listen to these doctors because she looks at these oncologist as the saviors of her life
Your Mom although cancer free is probably scared to death ( they know that) they depend on that.
I am praying for your mom ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ™

Thank you, Dave. My condolences for the loss of you wife. I can't even imagine what you both went through.

My mom is in a good head space and in relatively good health at 85 years of age. She wasn't pleased with the side effect mentioned. One doctor admitted she has a 75-80% chance of being fine without treatment. She is leaning toward no treatments! Praise Jesus. She just hasn't made her final decision. I will support her either way. ๐Ÿ˜Š
