Lots and lots of damage to NC, GA, and TN.

We are not getting information about the area.

Rivers and roads are flooded! Asheville you cannot get to, all roads flooded. Airport closed. Bryson City under about 6 foot of water, entire small mountain towns wiped from the map.

Internet is down, landlines are emergency only, cell phones up and down and emergency only!

My family is ok. But NC was hit hard! TN hit hard, and N GA hit hard!

And virtually no communication, not even with the emergency radio weather station!

26 East is open, if you can get to it. Most of the communication happening is people talking to each other the old fashioned way. Some of us with older phones are able to communicate, but spotty. While there are some pockets of people with power, I’m guessing it’s going to be a few weeks before power is restored for most. I had heard that the power company sent their overtime crews to Florida ahead of the storm so the extra help isn’t here - I don’t know if it’s true or not though. We’ll see.

My middle son, said the Canadians are coming down to help! I am on for a little bit with a hotspot. Supposed to get internet back up today at 4 pm but nope.

My internet is getting better. I heard that Verizon has set up a temporary satellite service for some areas and I saw a post on here about Starlink. So far, I’ve been able to get in touch with most of my friends. Peace and blessings to you, Kris. Lots of prayers for the entire region.
