Been 'thinking' that recently.
What keeps people from considering that 'point'? #pride
The Enemy used it to manipulate us without our knowing or realizing it - and that's part of what you're talking about.
"Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD:"
Why?
B/c it keeps us from 'knowing HIM' and being Made Free.
"These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."
