Is this from another timeline?
“Top of mind,” was never an expression in my entire long life, until Karine Jean-Pierre said it in press conferences over and over and over. Now I hear others use it. The phrases it replaced were:
. . . at the top of his mind.
. . . in his mind.
. . . foremost in his thoughts.
etc.
It’s almost as if taking out the possessive adjective of the sentence, in Karine’s case, for Joe Biden, we are hearing about some group mind, maybe part of the internet of things (us).
