Just give me my own trusty bike without a battery.

He took the battery of his E-bike into the elevator. When the elevator door closed, the battery exploded and he was burned alive....

Good thing this is not an everyday occurrence...But it will indeed be, just the battery of your E-bike....

Terrible.
Lithium Batteries explode because Lithium is an unstable element.
The batteries are 'safe' when encased in a non-reactive substance, but if they get wet or damaged, they can explode.
Sodium and Lithium have similar chemical properties.
My chemistry teacher showed us the dangerous property of Sodium.
He took a sealed brown glass jar from a closet, opened it very carefully, cut off a tiny piece of sodium and then put it in a container of water.
It exploded!
Repeat: Sodium and Lithium have similar chemical properties-due to the fact that they are next to each other on the Periodic Table
Biden doesn't care for he owns 10 percent of a Chinese Lithium Battery company-Follow the money trail.
