Greg Iles is a best selling author. His recent 2024 book, Southern Man, has a plot line similar to this shooting during a presidential election cycle and it includes a water tower. The book features gratuitous criticisms and jokes about Trump, most highly inaccurate. I’ve read several of his books but this one is blatantly anti Trump. I won’t be reading him anymore although he’s a very good writer.
