I am Red Flagged in every VA Hospital
for refusing to wear a face mask in 2020.
When I reported to the
White House about the treatment of veterans
from a certain bad antiquated VA that
should be shut down and begged the
Governor of that state not to vaccinate
back in 2021…..
My life has been horrible as a disabled veteran!

So very sorry. You and all veterans deserve better. Too bad you can’t master an accent & come back thru Mexico.

I speak five, not so perfectly languages.
Lived in Miami back
when the
Haitian Refugee Crisis and
Mariel Boat Lift happened in the 1980’s.
When I joined the military at seventeen
after the first year in
community college…..
After I came home,
those peoples were receiving
free university and
educational benefits…..
I still cannot access as a disabled veteran.

Many times I have stated,
perhaps if I float up on a boat and
speak another language…..
Going to school would be cool!

Americans have been neglected by their
Elected Officials too long!
I am identifying one aspect of many!

I agree and please keep speaking out. I used to volunteer at the VA for years. From what I witnessed best to come & go from the VA. Not a place where you’d want to live.

After working my way out of a wheelchair
for three years,
back in 2008,
I worked for the
VA Hospital in a program
called
Compensated Work Therapy.

Worked in the library.
After three years of multiple surgeries and
physical therapy,
knew everyone.
People would come and ask me to
connect them with help.
This was my foundation with
unlimited possibilities
due to funding….
That 22 billion infused in to the
VA system given by
George Bush ran out in 2011.
Those programs teaching
Thai Chi or pain school
for example are non existent.

The deadliest year for soldiers was 2010.
Most came back to being
denied good healthcare.
I watched it first hand with
both eyes open.

So very, very sorry. I volunteered at the VA doing Pet Therapy. They told me some of the vets only spoke when I came with my dog. Not even getting into the rest, too depressing.

There were so many times in the three years of
wound care, physical therapy and surgery that
a therapy dog would lift our spirit.
What is the name of this sunshine?

Once brought a squirrel that
was imprinted to the
West Palm Beach VA.
His name was MOE
who was loved all over Florida.
This little guy was Jack.
Wildlife Rehabilitation helped
heal my spirit immensely.

Many of the healing programs
we once had were forgotten the
last four years.
Thai Chi was amazing…
It gave us a sense of community.
There were Korean and Vietnam Veterans
quitting meds and trying to live
a healthier life.

Wish there were better programs to
help veterans,in many ways.

Wow amazing story. Her name was one of my favorite shows growing up HoneyWest. We also volunteered at a cancer ward in a hospital & read with inner city kids. I also used to demonstrate dog agility at a local fair with her. She was the best part of me. I lost her 2 yrs ago & miss her terribly.
I know a lady who is an animal communicator that gave a squirrel CPR that fell into a pool.
I used to work near Chinatown in NYC. You would see Chinese women at police headquarters doing tai chi outside in good weather. It was pretty cool.
