There's a part in the Bible where one of God's prophets, Daniel, and some other men, are held captive by non-Hebrews. I think it's Babylon, but I'm relaying this story off the top of my head so not sure of my memory.
Anyway, the people of the land eat unclean food. It's probably pork and other animals not in the description as clean to eat (cloven hooved with a ruminant stomach). Or maybe food offered to idols.
The Hebrews get weak because they're not eating most of it, but for some reason a king wants the captives well, so he asks Daniel wjy they're not eating.
Daniel says "give us pulse to eat", which is vegetables. They get that, get really healthy and strong and the king can't believe it.

As time goes on they're going to fuck with our food more and they're getting especially nasty with meat.

We can get through this just like Daniel and his men.
