I’m not a lawyer so kindly help me here.
The gag order issued by Judge Juan Merchan prohibits Trump from discussing witnesses among other people. However, those witnesses are still able to appear on podcasts and cable news shows to criticize him without consequence. If Trump responds to their criticisms, he is violating the gag order. Additionally, they can freely slander or attack his own witnesses without facing any restrictions, as there is no gag order imposed on them. My question is, since I am so new to the legal system, how’s that a fair system? How’s that not seen as election interference as Trump is alleging? How is that not dictatorship?
