It was in July 1963. Pennsylvania. I was 7 years old. I didn't have the glasses either.

Thats cool. The reason I asked is i was born in 1963. Just curious if it was on my birthday. I watched the eclipse today without the glasses. I have been sun gazing for a couple of years little by little. It was not a problem. My dog sun gazes all the time.
