I’d stop paying, but I’m collecting SS benefits, while still working full time. If I quit paying taxes, I’m pretty sure I would stop getting those SS payments. I’ve asked on here about that, but no one has given a good answer.

It states on your SS the taxes are voluntary....I stopped having taxes taken out of my SS Check a year ago (in March 2023) I went from my H&R Block appointment to cancel the tax...so there was a little tax taken out...this year I have to pay into Federal because she said of the interest income I received (it doubled from last year) I am still getting over $1300 back from State ...so I paid $623 to Fed received $1300 from State owed her $305 to do my taxes...I am up $396....hope this helps...when you don't have taxes taken out of your SS it increases your monthly payment.....
