New: FDNY Firefighters forced to remove “red line” flag from fire truck hung to memorialize their fallen brothers in 9/11

A politician in Alphabet City came by the fire house and confronted NY’s bravest for having the flag on their rig stating, "isn't that flag in support of the police?"

They explained to him that it’s been on their rig for years and it's a part of our 9/11 Memorial as the flag flies next to their fallen brothers

The politician contacted city officials and demanded it be taken down

The very next morning a FDNY Division Chief shows up and told them it must come down and it is an order

I repeat - NY firefighters were forced to take down a memorial for those that died on 9/11
