Stay with me a moment. The OT was written like over 3200 years after the Sumerian tablets and were stories passed down from generations until finally written out to make the books of Genesis and Exodus possibly Leviticus and other in the OT.
The OT story being told from the first person perspective. So it would be like being inside a large cage garden and writing 'they put us in a garden and from time to time took us and cut us and were cold and treated us like guinea pigs.'
Where from the Sumerian tablets it said 'Sister finally bore a human/god cross that had feet, legs, hands and could stand and work and understand so we build our creation a beautiful garden and had no where else to safely keep this creation so we put it there and we now needed to make a second so they could breed and make more workers.' So we took him and from him created the female and it was good. But they bred but it never came out with a living child or one that was natural and not an abomination.' Cont

This is where the 'devil' has come from in Genesis. The "snake" that took eve and tempted her. But this story was told for thousands of years between the humans before ever being written down so there were some dramatic emotional additions from the suffering they went through. I mean it must have been scary being the test subject. They must have hated Enki and his sister at one point.
It's just a theory...but the books are of the exact same stories just one is 3600 years before the OT. The Tablets also talk exactly of Kain and Able, the flood, the building of the ark to save Enki's loved creations and how Enki was given a dream and tablet to give to his grandson that had the blueprints

on exactly how to build it and the exact measurements. Just like the OT says as well.
There are also many other things said in the OT that are exactly what Enki, Enlil or their father An or Anu said.
