She was already a long time dead before she married William. In college (I think between second and third year), she's gone on "school holiday camp" and there she was sacrificed and replaced (by a clone, I assume). Her mother knew in advance this and did not want her to go to the school holiday camp.

Look at the ears and nose and then compare with all the other variants that replaced the original.
