Nana took my two grands out to eat at a local restaurant last night, not any exclusive dinning.
A kids meal, the cheapest steak dinner on the menu, reg. crab legs dinner with our drinks, no appetizers or extras, nothing fancy and ticket was $110.00
That meal 3 or 4 yrs ago would have cost me maybe 60 to 65$.
Hell the 3 of us can't get a sub & chips locally for less than about 60$!!!
Let's forget buying beef any more. A roast that used to cost me between 5 to $8 is as much as $40!
Please make it stop, Nana has been blessed so far but idk how a lot of people are even eating or much less feeding their children and not sure how much longer I can survive it either.

I feel for you nana .... As much as we have enjoyed taking the fam out, we all would rather prepare and eat at home. When we have gone out quantity on plate has been reduced. I have been able to adjust shopping for veg's & fresh eggs at a local farm. Other fruits and vegs from HEB (grocery store in Texas). Going out to eat is limited to the Burger fund raiser for the Vets and local restaurants. Do not go to chains as they are probably owned by Blackrock or Vanguard.
Beef is purchased local meat markets that sell grass fed beef (no more grocery crap). This means cooking at home.
I did buy girl scout cookies.
Talk about shrinkage guys.

People are starving, homeless, jobless and have lost family and friends...I used to think this was a great plan and was a HUGE supporter BUT it has gone on way too long. If the Whites Hats have it all..they need to pull the trigger, flip the switch or roll the credits on this "movie" because at this point, IMO, all of the pain and suffering can be laid at their feet.

It's really shameful how they have raised the cost of food.
Where I live it cost me $25 plus a tip for a fish sandwich and tots.
It was $9.95, 6 years ago.
