Your right, most of the German scientists (known as Nazi's) did not come here on their own accord. They were blackmailed by our government (CIA) that if they didn't choose to come to the US or Russia they would be persecuted under the Nuremberg trials. They then became CIA assests & did clandestine operations for them. There is a very good movie that clues you into that if you read & watch between the lines called "Courier X".
