My Dad was working a military contract in Greenland many years ago & he sent me a video of the different things he saw while he was there-flowers, wildlife & the glacier. He said he spoke to the Inuit (natives there) & was told the bright blue in the ice if from the higher levels of oxygen in the water when it freezes.
