I've never really understood property taxes. You scrimped and saved and labored and toiled to buy and pay off that property. You supposedly OWN that property on paper. But yet you have to pay someone else an annual tax for the right to own the property? It should be like any other purchase. You bought it...it's yours...the end. Yet...if you don't pay their annual tax...they can claim your property as theirs? Insanity.
