We recently had to say farewell to our little Chico after 17+ years. I held him in my arms, his head resting on my chest so that he could hear my heartbeat, and he stepped gently onto the bridge and crossed over. Before laying his little being to rest among mesquites on our land, I allowed his fur family to say farewell. I have done this with all our furbabies. It’s very touching to observe.
