That is how males end up with Kleinfelter Syndrome(XXY Syndrome) or Jacob's Syndrome(XYY Syndrome). Females have something called Carrier Syndrome or X Syndrome. Carrier Syndrome is where a female is missing the second X chromosome to make the XX sex chromosome because it was deleted through a mutation. Kleinfelter Syndrome, also known as XXY syndrome occurs when the male sex chromosome, XY, receives an extra X chromosome to make XXY. The same also occurs in Jacob's Syndrome but you get an extra Y chromosome added to the XY sex chromosome to make XYY. Both of these end up sterilizing males if they don't know they have it
