Currently, tsunami warnings have been issued in parts of western Japan after a powerful 7.6 magnitude earthquake, followed by a 6.2 magnitude aftershock, occurred moments ago. Numerous reports indicate strong to violent shaking with multiple buildings swaying back and forth. Tsunami sirens have been activated, sounding off an emergency warning and urging residents to evacuate immediately.
