Researchers from Duke University School of Medicine have developed a potential new drug, HS-291, which can destroy the Lyme disease-causing bacteria Borrelia burgdorferi. It does this by targeting and inhibiting a specific type of enzyme within the bacteria. The researchers hope their discovery will help patients suffering from persistent and widespread symptoms to find relief.
This novel and selective treatment was inspired by research that targets cancer tumors and was partially funded by Project Lyme, in partnership with the Bay Area Lyme Foundation.

Novel Therapy Destroys Lyme In Lab - Project Lyme
Inspired by research that targets cancer tumors, these new findings in Lyme could also lead to novel R&D strategies for other diseases. This project was partially funded by Project Lyme, in partnership with the Bay Area Lyme Foundation.

Note> before taking any drug, especially a newly developed one, a patient should try to be sure that he or she doesn't have an allergy to it.
The first time I had Lyme, my doctor sent me to an allergist to make sure I wasn't allergic to the meds he was gonna prescribe.
Now that I know my allergies, I can usually tell, from the chemical formula of the drug, if I am allergic to it.
Sulfur drugs are great for most patients, but can be quite awful if the patient is allergic to them.
This new remedy for Lyme is called "HS-291"
The chemical formula indicates that the molecule does contain sulfur. This probably means I cannot take it and for others, it might not be a bad idea to make sure it's safe to take. Sometimes the allergy is related to exactly where the S is in the molecular structure.
Anyway, I hope that it is indeed a miracle drug.

Yes, agree, however even here on AU we talk about Fenbendazole, Ivermectin and others which, I guess missed the CABAL's dastardly mischief.
Discretion is important! My friend had a cup of "Breathe Easy" tea and wound up in the ER with an anaphylactic reaction.
So we should be careful, eve, about herbal remedies.
PS: I have to add that I was just thinking about this new Lyme drug.
I'm familiar with Duke's history with Lyme and I recognize 2 of the article's authors, plus the nonprofit involved -(donation) and because I'm a true crazy conspiracy theorist, I wonder about the coincidence of a new drug when so many of us know the real remedies.
Just sayin'
(because some folks may like to hold onto their franchises)
