This reminds me of a big dream I had as a child.There are a few childhood dreams that were so impressive and realistic I've remembered them all these years.
The dream was me running outside at night in the dark, to see my older, teenage siblings underneath and looking up at a flourscent red ring positioned horizontally, low in the sky just above the treetops. The red ring looked like the ring around a frisbee without the middle, and it was spinning wildly. I felt a decent amount of breath-taking fear at the sight of it, mixed with curiousity, as all my siblings were transfixed on it in awe.
I never connected that to a portal, until now
