Drove about an hour away to a Catholic church for a funeral today. When we arrived, it was 11:11. Growing up strict Catholic and no longer, mass is a completely different experience. The occult symbolism was so over the top, especially in this particular place. I could do nothing but pray. When it was time to receive communion, the priest suggested those who did not want communion to just approach the altar and cross their arms (rising Osiris style) and he would bless them with a sign of the cross.
