They may also attack you or regress to previous behavior patterns to manipulate the situation to return it to their comfort level. It can seem like narcissistic behavior, and it is, but it was developed as a coping/survival skill and if you understand that you can learn not to take it personally. Nobody needs to be abused when in a relationship with a survivor, but it behooves one to prepare and understand what they are working on. It can get better or they can learn to manage it, but it is a long process and they need support. There are many victims that people write off as sociopaths, assholes, etc. but they handle their experience differently than what is in the meme above.
