The first thing after awakening in the next life one is faced with all of their choices and deeds because nothing is left behind except the corporeal body. Nothing is forgotten, everything is examined before God and angels while we review and judge ourselves according to His precepts. Only after learning, repenting and cleansing does one take up residence in an eternal place there with like companions.
