Allen West: Happy Constitution Day, America! September 17, 1787, our rule of law and document establishing our Country as a Constitutional Republic was signed. It still had to pass muster with all the states. We the People do seek to establish a more perfect Union, hence the amendments to our Constitution. Remember the words of Benjamin Franklin from this day, “a Republic if you can keep it."

Sadly we have too many incompetent, and corrupt, elected officials who seek to destroy our Republic and usurp or individual liberties and freedoms in violation of our Constitution. Hence, the motto of the US Army must be that of all true American Citizens: "This we’ll defend."
