It found that, “The majority of deaths in the 1918-1919 influenza pandemic likely resulted directly from secondary bacterial pneumonia caused by common upper respiratory-tract bacteria.”
Which does not take a genius to see that rebreathing the contents of a dirty mask is the culprit... even if they did not categorically state that.
