Today while collecting eggs, a very young, very small chicken ran out of the door. I shut it before anyone else escaped, but wondered how I could get this fast, reactive chicken back in without others making a break. My one year old Border Collie came to the rescue. She worked that little chicken against the run until it wanted back in, then I opened the door and it zoomed back to the others. No training, just extreme talent and a desire to help. She received a pat and that’s a good job, good girl! Love my canine companions!
