That's not true. Seeded watermelon CAN be found in stores across the country and at fresh/farmer markets. And since they were crossbred over 50 years ago to have softer or less seeds than regular varietals - it's not GMO'ed. The same is true of seedless grapes. It's the same naturally occurring chromosomal shift that creates donkeys.

Thanks! My local grocery stores and costco only carry seedless, but farmers markets do have seeded ones. The seedless varieties are tasteless compared with seeded.

Taste is partly where you live compared to where the produce was harvested, when it was harvested, how it was transported and stored, far more than whether or not it contains seeds. I mean you are entitled to believe what you want... and you're not wrong... just that there is far more to it than the presence of seeds.

Too bad our educational system doesn't put a priority on land and resource management.
