We can do better. Need to build strong towns, strong communities, spread people out instead of this rack-em and stack-em nonsense.
Take a look at the Sears Kit homes from 1920, many are still standing today; well-built, sturdy, large.
Household income in 1920: $3600 (usually with only 1 person working in the home).
Beautiful home + assembly + 1 acre of land: $2500
