Hello family, I need some help. My 10yr old was inappropriately touched in the pool at day camp yesterday and neither my wife or myself was informed, I found out from my 10yr old 🤬🤬 I told my wife to speak to someone at camp this morning and she was apologized to and informed the child is no longer going to be attending camp. My son was not the only kid apparently, so I’ve been pretty annoyed all day about this and I’ve never had an issue like this. Just wondering what my recourse should be, I’ve been told to file a complaint with the police department 🤷🏻‍♂️

In my opinion, you should file a police report. It is not to be punitive against the day camp, but to allow the police to gather information regarding the other camper who was expelled. This way if there are future complaints involving the same child, who obviously needs help, there is a trail for the authorities.

Report filed, prosecutors office invoked. Apparently the kid tried to pay one of the kids to not tell on him, so he definitely knew what he was doing
