I admire and feel deeply for fathers who strive to be dads because it is a huge giving presence they take on everyday to provide protection, shelter, sustenance, love, strength, peace and joy. Those who would destroy God’s children remove fathers because they are so integral to a family’s healthy life. We all need dads to stand and remain strong.

Warrior energy! The passion, and pressure of omnipresence as "DA," Dad, Pop, Papi , Papa... well, can I say men are built for this?
Men can be fathers, but not Dads; courts and family lawyers have done a fine job of creating, installing and enforcing separation of children from their Protective Fathers. Parental Alienation Syndrome. PAS.
Sure he reads a recipe and can outcook mom at most attempts. Another man talent, featured meal masterpieces. She's busy doing all the stuff that doesn't inspire him, that needs to be done nonetheless.
Let the men cook. It's always better (except salt - men tend to oversalt). But their dedication to the task is admirable, and tasty.

Eliminate guilt, shame and feeling inadequate and all that energy will be transformed into joy that will come out as play and happiness that your children will flourish in and repeat in the way they raise their children.
He feels guilty and shameful and he is blaming himself. It is painful. These are childhood wounds of places where his parents were not there to guide him kindly and build him up as capable in their eyes. These are wounds of the father passed down through generations that can be broken by learning and doing the dialog.
When the wounds are healed you don't see things this way. You are not a victim anymore of what you feel you can not do or of your perceived failings. When you eliminate guilt and shame and feelings of inadequacies you see everything differently and the struggle is mostly flow. 💝
