People have been reporting a chemical smell , closer to burning plastic. My family is in the Chicago burbs and they "see it" say the TV isn't being alarming about it. I told them to pack bags and drive away. The problem is from Iowa to Ohio, into Wisconsin, down to Missouri.

These gases are akin to what volcanoes spew. Someone in Mich measured Hydrogen Sulfide and Sulphuric Acid at dangerous levels.
