It's very obvious to me that we entered a different timeline. The world has changed so radically in the past few years, there's just no way it was a natural progression of events leading to what we now accept as normal. Change occurs one step at a time but more importantly, it must be organic in nature. The world we live in now has no precedent in the recent past. It was thrust upon us, seemingly overnight.

Who will stop it? The world is beyond our control at this point. We're just unwilling participants observing from a position much like Alex's in, "A Clockwork Orange." The music of Beethoven playing in the background is the only remnant of the world we once knew. All the rest is a nightmare come to life.
